For over three decades, the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa has been dedicated to combating poverty and cultivating thriving communities throughout the Tampa Bay Area. With a focus on fostering future leaders, our Youth Success Center provides a strong foundation for young people to build prosperous futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. This year, our Youth Success Team is thrilled to present the Sisterhood Summit, our seventh annual initiative to invest in the young women of our community and help them embrace their potential.

 

Taking place on March 28, 2024, the Sisterhood Summit is a one-day conference for high school girls in the Tampa Bay Area. This event will be held at the Tampa Bay History Center and will bring together 100 young women for a day of learning, sharing, and sisterhood. The summit will provide an opportunity for girls to meet and engage with female leaders and role models from various sectors of the community, including politics, the military, athletics, STEAM, and business. These accomplished women will facilitate discussions on important topics such as leadership, career paths, entrepreneurship, mental health and well-being, and self-esteem. The goal of this event is to highlight the significant contributions made by women who have blazed trails in their respective fields, while also empowering the young women of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.

 

At the Sisterhood Summit, our focus is on celebrating the boundless potential of our community's young women. We hope to inspire and encourage girls to explore their passions and reach their full potential. By bringing together women from different walks of life, we hope to showcase the endless opportunities available to young women in the Tampa Bay Area. Ultimately, the Sisterhood Summit is a chance for our community's women of today to invest in and mold the leaders of tomorrow.
